Main Objective

The objective of the BEHYOND projects is to develop engineering conceptual solution and sub-systems definition to support the technical-economic model and competitiveness studies of a modular solution to produce hydrogen in large-scale from offshore wind energy.

Overview

The BEHYOND (“Bolstering the joint operation of Hydrogen and Offshore wiND”) projects plans to develop an innovative modular solution for hydrogen production from offshore wind energy, for multiple end-uses.

‍

The solution will be able to be deployed worldwide, producing and transferring hydrogen in large-scale, in order to be used in the decarbonization of the economy while handling the wind energy intermittency. The projects will support the development of the renewable energy sector by developing a new offshore wind-to-hydrogen platform.
