Project:

Baterias 2030

Main Objective

Phased withdrawal of fossil fuels and the progressive integration of indigenous renewable sources is emerging as a key tool in combating climate change.

Overview

The phased withdrawal of fossil fuels and the progressive integration of indigenous renewable sources are emerging as a key tool in combating climate change. The energy model of the future is configured around renewable energy production, which is inherently intermittent, creating a constant need for intermediate storage. For cost-effective distribution, this storage will need to be implemented locally within buildings and integrated into intelligent microgrids. This project play a central role in making this vision a reality, presenting numerous challenges.

The Baterias 2030 project aims to address the challenges associated with decarbonization and the dissemination of sustainable energy communities in what are expected to be the cities of the future.
