Competitiveness was the theme of the second session of the “New Times, New Challenges” conference series, organized by Jaime Quesado as part of the celebration of the 25th anniversary of CEiiA.

Alberto Pezzi brought reference examples from Catalonia of a competitive model based on collaboration between traditional and technological sectors and which relies on talent and innovation.

This was the motto for a discussion on how cooperation between academia and industry is essential for a continuous process of innovation, value creation and talent mobilization. In line with this vision, Jorge Cabral highlighted the continuous work on creating value that has been carried out for 25 years by the CEiiA, based on the link between universities and companies.

The conference also featured Isabel Furtado (TMG Automotive), who brought the industry perspective, and Pedro Arezes (University of Minho), who shared the academic perspective.
