LUS222 continues its journey through the different phases of development, having finalised the selection of first-tier suppliers and Akaer being one of the main partners for the structures area.

This partnership between EEAAircraft and Akaer follows on from other successful collaborations between the two countries in aeronautics and defence, most notably the hashtag#KC390, and reinforces the positioning of LUS222 in the South American and Latin American markets, especially Brazil itself.

AKAER, which has 32 years' experience and recently expanded into Europe, will supply the fuselage, the complete wing and the horizontal and vertical empennages, and it is thought that part of the production could be carried out in Portugal in a new infrastructure in Ponte de Sôr.
